2025 SCECA Conference

Jamila Phillips is a distinguished speaker, author, and educator cherished  as the devoted mother of three exceptional boys.  She accomplished her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Winthrop University and Columbia College, respectively, demonstrating her commitment to education.  Jamila has two decades of teaching experience in special education and remains dedicated to teaching students with diverse abilities.  February 2023, she released her inspirational book, "Dream Changer", a powerful work that instills encouragement, inspiration, and boundless joy in individuals who have encountered altered dreams and are navigating thier challenges.  Presently, Jamila is a preschool teacher of exceptional learners at a public elementary school in South Carolina.
