About me
Dr. Angelia (Angie) Scott has been an educator for over 35 years. Presently she works in Berkeley County as an Assistant Principal and Head Start Site Supervisor at her school. She has worked not only as a classroom teacher but also a Title I Facilitator for BCSD Office of Federal Programs. Her leadership position within the school has afforded her the opportunity to organize activities for school improvement and growth among the staff and students.
She holds a B.S. degree in Elementary Education from Baruch College, M.Ed. in Early Childhood from College of Charleston, M.Ed. in Elementary School Administration from The Citadel, and Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University. The fulfillment of educational degrees were to demonstrate to her 3 children and now her 6 grandchildren the sky is not the limit. They can soar to be whom they want to be. She is a firm believer that great things can happen when a person chooses to be optimistic and is able to take negative life experiences as lessons for reflective thinking, learning, problem solving, and moments of teaching in order to gain better outcomes.
Dr. Scott is an ordained Elder and an Intercessor. Her ministry work included being the Children Church Pastor, Sunday School Teacher of the Ministers’ Class, Adjutant, Bible College Instructor, Prison Outreach Ministry, and Choir Director.
There is a poem she has adopted in her career called “The C Diet” by Sigmund Boloz.
